Laura Turley is an illustrator by trade but, soon after her graduation in 1998, realised that making a decent living in her chosen profession was an awful lot harder than her tutors had ever let on.
After a brief period part-timing in local publishing houses, she found work in the creative department of Westcountry Publications where she first acquired the skills of a graphic designer and made the acquaintance of Denise. Three years later, she relocated to D C Leisure as Senior Graphic Designer.
Laura enjoys the challenge of web-design, as well as demonstrating the creativity and clear thinking required to produce a successful brand. She also enjoys cheese and violence, although not always in that order.

Denise Bickley can be obsessive about details (such as grammar and spelling), which makes her a valuable asset in a design environment. Like Laura, she has had an indirect route into graphic design, via accountancy and teaching, but is now happy with her chosen profession.
After spending 3 years at Westcountry Publications designing advertisements she joined D C Leisure as a Middleweight Graphic Designer and spent several years there. Denise loves to keep fit, by dancing, playing sports, walking everywhere and not eating animals.
As well as designing, Denise is running the business side of the partnership. Her strengths are clear lateral thinking, proof-reading, enthusiasm, photography and badminton. |

Gary Bickley (as the surname probably suggests) is Denise's husband and the newest member of the LSD team. A trained illustrator and advertising designer for the last decade, Gary brings yet another set of vauable skills to the LSD design mix, as well as a much appreciated Y chromosome.
Another graduate of Westcountry Publications Gary's speciality is producing eye-popping vector graphics, creating sharp original logo and web visuals and technical drawings with equal ease, although his first love will always be comic book illustration - "only Batman fanboys call them graphic novels."
Gary's pastimes include listening to classic metal, watching american football and nostalgically reminiscing about movies of the 80s. He also barbecues. |
